Mary Helen Motzko, 94, of Janesville died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Rock Haven Nursing Home where she had been residing recently. She was born on August 9, 1921 in Chicago, IL, the only child of Alex and Anna Charna Kowalchuk. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from Tuley High School there. She married George J. Motzko on September 26, 1948 in Chicago. Mary was formerly employed as a typist by the Federal Reserve Bank and General Electric. Following retirement, the family moved to Williams Bay, WI in 1980 and then to Janesville in 1986.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Sharon Ann Motzko who is a resident of Rock Haven. Her husband preceded her in death on January 31, 2000.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September, 18, 2015 at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel, 2200 Milton Avenue, Janesville where friends may call from 1:30 p.m. Friday until the time of services. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. .
